Rules:
In a classroom it is VERY important to have clear rules and expectations. These are put in place to help create a positive learning environment for all of our students. The rules are very simple and there are no exceptions to following them.
SAFE.
Every student will behave in a manner that is safe at all times. This includes the playground as well as the classroom.
|
RESPONSIBLE.
Every student is responsible for themselves AND for their classmates. This builds community as well as our students esteem.
|
RESPECTFUL.
Every student will be respectful to themselves and to other people. They will also be respectful to public and private property.
|
Expectations:
I have very high expectations for my students. I believe that all of my students can achieve their personal best and I set the bar high so that they rise to the challenge. I expect that the rules be followed with zero exceptions. I have confidence that your children have the ability to meet my expectations. This classroom will be challenging but I promise to balance it with tons of fun and laughter. By the end of this year your students will know how to:
- Raise their hands to ask questions.
- Transition from activity to activity quietly and without delay.
- Stop, listen and place their eyes on me when they hear the bell.
- Know how to call and respond to the classroom signals, Me: "Safe and responsible" Them: "Meerkats".
- Sit on the carpet with hands free and eyes on me.
